Writing a dialogue line
Dialogue lines are used to define who is speaking and what they say. In the editor, they’re written in the format:
speaker_name: What they say
The speaker name can be any character you've placed in the scene, or simply "player" if the line is spoken by the active player.
If the speaker is an NPC, the dialogue bubble will appear above that character in-game.
If the speaker is the player, the bubble will appear above the active player character.
Tip: Make a habit of adding a space after the hyphen (like "- bartender:" rather than "-bartender:"). This small detail improves readability, especially in Markdown editors.
