Variations
A dialogue node can contain multiple variations, allowing you to customize how a scene plays out based on the player’s role, items, labels, or other conditions.
In the example shown, the node has two variations, separated by three dashes:
The section above the separator is the default variation.
The section below the separator is a conditional variation—in this case, shown only if the player is the sheriff.
So, if a player with the role of sheriff speaks to the bartender, they will see: "Howdy, sheriff." If the player is in any other role, they’ll see: "Hi, how are you?"
This system allows you to write condition-based content within dialogue nodes.
